One of our favorite things to do when Bamber and I are watching a sporting event is to make fun of the anthem singer. Thus I felt the need to dig around on Youtube for some of the most memorable national anthems.
The rendition by Whitney Houston, sung before Super Bowl XXV in 1991, is considered to be one of the best. I agreed until I found out it was lip-synced*. I value authenticity more than good singing.
Here are three infamous anthem screw-ups. You will feel sorry for the first one, be disgusted by the second one, and cry for the third one.
