It seems like The Blog has been getting passed around like a fruitcake lately, which makes me a little uneasy. I never expected (or wanted) more than three or four people to read it. Now I've got people who I haven't seen since high school showing up and reading through my archives and knowing way more about me than I ever intended.
Well, if that's the way it's going to be then I might as well do something useful with this thing. So I'm starting a new feature that I'll try to keep up with every week by posting some of my favorite videos that I've come across on YouTube. Saturday Morning (because that's when I find myself surfing YouTube most often) Videos (because other people can say things better than I can) will consist of a few selected videos featuring a particular person or topic. This week: R.C. Sproul.
A quick introduction: I was immediately introduced to R.C.'s stuff following my conversion in '01 after a buddy gave me a tape of his message entitled "Saved from What?" I learned a lot of things for the first time from his mouth and he continues to be one of my three or four favorite preachers to listen to. He emphasizes the holiness of God more than anybody, and he has a way of explaining difficult doctrines like election and predestination in a way that a child (or a bonehead like me) can understand. Here are four of my favorite R.C. videos:
On justification and imputed righteousness (5:37)
On election and predestination (9:29)
On the seeker sensitive movement (7:18)
On Christ as the only way of salvation (7:27)
